Two Rivers Farm School
in Aurora, Oregon
Nestled on a 35-acre farm in Aurora, Oregon, Two Rivers Farm School (TRFS) offers a nurturing, joyful learning environment where children grow confidently from their early years through sixth grade.
Our program blends Finnish, Waldorf, and Montessori principles to create a holistic, imaginative, and academically strong educational journey. Children learn through exploration, creative play, hands-on discovery, and purposeful academic study—developing curiosity, independence, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.
As a building Pre-K–6th grade program with decades of history in our community, we offer a consistent, long-term learning environment where children are known well by their teachers and supported by a stable, caring community. Over time, students form deep friendships and strong connections that often last well beyond childhood, giving them not only an exceptional education but a community they can carry with them for life.
Now Enrolling for 2026–27
We are currently enrolling for Preschool, Kindergarten, and First Grade for Fall 2026.
Families who join us now become part of a thriving, growing school community where their children can continue all the way through sixth grade.
Our Mission:
Our mission is to inspire a lifelong love of learning by providing an environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
We cultivate the whole child—socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively—through thematic, purposeful learning experiences rooted in nature, community, and the arts.
By honoring each child’s individuality and natural pace of learning, we empower students to become confident, compassionate, capable people who know themselves and contribute meaningfully to the world.
Our Vision
At TRFS, learning grows from curiosity, creative play, and exploration. We encourage children to ask questions, investigate ideas, and learn through imagination and hands-on experiences.
Our teachers honor the pace and path of each learner, providing thoughtful guidance that nurtures independence, confidence, and joy in learning.
Rooted in our beautiful farm setting and guided by decades of tradition, we cultivate capable, compassionate children who think critically, care deeply, and contribute positively to their community.

Our Path Forward: A School Growing with Your Child
TRFS has long served children from preschool through sixth grade. After reopening post-pandemic, we intentionally rebuilt from the early years upward—restoring the school’s long tradition of offering a continuous, developmentally aligned educational journey.
Each year, a new grade level is added as our founding classes rise, creating a cohesive and beautifully scaffolded program. Children who begin at TRFS benefit from:
